TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRUSTED WINDSHIELDS
Welcome to Trusted Windshields. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website (trustedwindshields.com), as well as any quotes, purchases, repairs, replacements, or mobile services provided by our company.
By accessing our website, requesting a quote, or scheduling a service, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
Services and Quotes
Service Descriptions
Trusted Windshields provides windshield replacement and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration services. We strive to be as accurate as possible with our service descriptions, timelines, and vehicle compatibility.
Price Quotes
-
All quotes provided via our website, email, or telephone are estimates based on the vehicle information provided by the customer (make, model, year, trim, and glass features).
-
Final pricing is subject to change upon physical inspection of the vehicle if the actual glass features differ from the information provided, or if hidden damage (such as rust or frame distortion) is discovered.
-
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated.
Customer Responsibilities and Vehicle Condition
Accuracy of Information
The customer is entirely responsible for providing accurate vehicle data, including the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and specific glass features (e.g., rain sensors, heating elements, lane-departure warning cameras). Trusted Windshields is not liable for delays or incorrect part ordering resulting from inaccurate customer data.
Pre-Existing Damage
We will perform a pre-inspection of the vehicle prior to beginning any work. Trusted Windshields are not responsible for any pre-existing damage to the vehicle's body, paint, interior, mechanical systems, or surrounding molding.
Mobile Service Requirements
If you opt for our mobile service, you must provide:
-
A safe, legal, and flat working area (such as a driveway, garage, or private parking lot).
-
Adequate clearance around the vehicle.
-
Shelter or an alternate indoor location in the event of severe weather (rain, snow, or extreme cold), as certain adhesives require specific temperature thresholds to cure correctly.
Payments, Cancellations, and Insurance Claims
Payment Terms
Payment is due immediately upon the completion of the service unless prior credit arrangements have been made. We accept cash, major credit cards, debit cards, and authorized insurance claims.
Cancellation Policy
We require at least 24 hours' notice for the cancellation or rescheduling of any appointment. Failure to provide adequate notice or failure to show up for a scheduled appointment may result in a cancellation fee.
Insurance Claims
If your service is being covered by comprehensive auto insurance:
-
You are responsible for filing the claim and providing us with the referral/authorization number prior to service.
-
You are responsible for paying any applicable deductible at the time of service.
-
If your insurance company denies the claim or refuses payment for any reason, the responsibility for the full invoice amount reverts to you.
Limited Lifetime Warranty
Trusted Windshields proudly stand behind our workmanship. We offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty on windshield replacements and repairs under the following conditions:
Windshield Replacements
We warrant your windshield replacement against manufacturing defects and installation leaks (wind or water) for as long as you own or lease the vehicle.
-
Exclusions: This warranty does not cover damage resulting from road hazards (such as rock chips, gravel, or debris), accidents, vandalism, vehicle rust, body deterioration, or manufacturer's structural defects.
Windshield Repairs
Windshield repair (chip or crack repair) is a structural process designed to prevent further cracking. It does not make the blemish completely invisible.
-
If the repaired chip or crack expands during or after the repair process, Trusted Windshields will credit the cost of the repair toward a full windshield replacement performed by our company.
ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) Calibration
Many modern vehicles feature cameras and sensors mounted to the windshield that control safety features like automatic braking and lane-keep assist.
-
Following a windshield replacement, these systems must be recalibrated to ensure proper functionality.
Trusted Windshields will inform you if your vehicle requires calibration. If you opt out of our calibration services, you must have the system calibrated by a certified dealership immediately. Trusted Windshields accept zero liability for malfunctions of uncalibrated safety systems.
Weather-Related Limitations: Dynamic (mobile) ADAS calibrations require specific driving and environmental conditions to successfully map the road. Due to weather variables such as heavy rain, snow, dense fog, glare, or lack of visible lane markings, there is approximately a 5% chance that our technicians will be unable to successfully complete the calibration on the day of service.
Rescheduling and Dealership Alternatives: If inclement weather prevents our technicians from completing the calibration, Trusted Windshields will not be held liable for safety system downtime. In these rare events, the customer must choose one of the following options:
-
Reschedule: Move the calibration service to the next available business day with clear weather conditions.
-
Dealership Calibration: Take the vehicle directly to a certified dealership to have the calibration completed at the customer's expense.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trusted Windshields, its directors, employees, or technicians shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of time, inconvenience, or commercial loss arising out of or related to the services provided. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the specific service in question.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service was performed, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted directly to this page with an updated "Effective Date." Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms
